We are a small club providing athletics activities for children in our region, as part of Little Athletics NSW. Based in the village of Cumnock (our geographic centre) we currently have registered 78 athletes from a wider area including Yeoval, Baldry, Manildra, Cudal Molong, Curra Creek, Obley, Garra, Gumble and Euchareena.
We provide structured sport in the form of athletics Friday evenings from October to April (Term 4 & term 1) for athletes aged 5 to 17.
We promote: Fun, Fitness, Development of athletic skills, building of character and self-esteem, and fostering of good sportsmanship
We cater for a wide variety of backgrounds given our large geographic area, Including indigenous and multi class athletes. To ensure we can offer opportunities to as many children as possible we endeavour to subsidise the cost of participation making it affordable and inclusive for everyone with in our footprint.
All of this is provided in a safe, positive, family-friendly, cost effective and inclusive environment. The purchase of this mower would allow us to provide the very best quality of facilities that we possibly can.
We initially compete in the Western Plains Zone which runs from Bourke in the west to Orange in the east. Coolah in the north and Forbes in the south
The next level of competition is Regional when we combine with the Western Plains and Western Ranges Zones this region runs from Bourke to Glenbrook in the lower blue mountains.
Qualifying athletes progress to the State Athletics Championships at Homebush Athletics Centre in Sydney.
We have proved that our small club can provide the opportunity to compete at higher levels as we have had several athletes compete at State level, this in turn attracts more athletes to our club
